This is my opinion on sports. I will mostly be giving my opinion on New York sports. My intention with this sports blog is just to give my opinion and maybe throw around some questions if not answering them. If any opportunities come along from doing this, I'd relish them because I have a passion for sports.

Winter Olympics wrap
Well today's closing ceremony marks the end of the (greedy) IOC's Winter Games. I watched a lot of this more because there wasn't much else on then because it was gripping. The U.S did well a medal in luge, the gold in women's hockey and the first ever curling gold. There were some stories in figure skating, Micaela Shiffern and Lindsey vonn. I was really into the women's gold medal hockey game, which was shown live way to late on the U.S east coast, could they have played that game in the morning. After a great game we beat Canada in a shoot out, this is not how you want to decide the gold medal, on a gimmick, play 5 on 5 until there's a winner, I under stand they do a shoot out in other international sops but i don't like it.

Super Bowl LII preview
When the New England Patriots meet the Philadelphia Eagles in Minnesota for Super Bowl LII, Giants fans will be in a tough spot. The Eagles have all the tools to win this one but the Patriots have had a tendency to figure teams out. The Eagles have to play a perfect game to win this but I don't know if they will. Nick Foles is a back up after all and has had a tendency to throw picks, something you can't do against the Patriots. Not to many Eagles have experience playing in the Super Bowl and in this game you need seasoning because it's really two 30 minute games separated by a longer than normal halftime and the game is late, you have to know how to set up your day. The Patriots aren't as good as they have been on the defensive line but it might not matter. The Patriots just figure teams out (except for the Giants and Eli Manning) and their opponents and make play tight for awhile, the Jaguars gave them an extra possession at the end of the half, the Seahawks felt they had to throw instead of feeding Beast Mode and the Falcons didn't kick that field goal. I don't know who to root for in this one, if the Eagles win the Giants won't be the only them to beat the Patriots and I don't like the Patriots their fans are cocky and they are always winning. This being said I believe the Eagles will start fast and it might take until the second half but the Patriots will once again figure out an opponent. I'll take the Eagles +4.5 in this one, although they will not win and the Patriots will not cover. New England Patriots 26 - Philadelphia Eagles 24

NFL Championship Games
I haven't written this blog in a long time, but its time for a change so I am going back.
In an early game Sunday the New England Patriots will host the Jacksonville Jaguars for the AFC Championship. Is Tom Brady really hurt, it sounds like it but the Patriots keep it close to the best to the best with injuries, he'll play. Brady and Belichick are undercover geniuses. The Jaguars can keep this one close if they 1) play defense, 2) establish the run and 3) don't give up the big play. Tom Coughlin is with this team now but he's not the head coach and Bortles is not Manning. Bortles will not win a shootout with Brady and I think that when it comes to the fourth quarter of this game Jacksonville is ready. I think the Jaguars will be able to keep this close but I am picking the Patriots (-7.5). Patriots 30-Jaguars 18
Later in the day the Philadelphia Eagles host the Minnesota Vikings for the NFC crown. Two good defences. We have two back up quarterbacks in this game who are somewhat surprising. Minnesota got somewhat lucky with a big play to win last week in which the Saints Safety fell down. The Eagles feed off the home crowd in a game in which Atlanta wasted their talent again. In what will be a low scoring game Philly will once agin feed of their crowd but I like Case Keenum and Minnesota a little better. I'll take Minnesota (-3) as road favorites in Philadelphia. Minnesota Vikings 18- Philadelphia Eagles 13
