NFL: week 5

As we enter week 5 of the NFL season, the pretenders and contenders are starting to emerge.

Week 5 picks:
1)   The Chicago Bears come into Jacksonville with their great defense and weapons on offense, the Jaguars come in struggling.  I’ll take the Chicago bears (-4.5) on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Chicago Bears -4.5
2)   San Francisco looks unstoppable with their many offensive weapons, while the Buffalo Bills are a different story one week to the next.  I’ll take the San Francisco 49ers (-9.5) over the Buffalo Bills.  San Francisco 49ers -9.5
3)   The Cincinnati Bengals have been somewhat of a surprising team so far; the Dolphins are young and will go through some growing pains throughout the season.   I’ll take the Cincinnati Bengals (-3) over the Miami Dolphins at home.  Cincinnati Bengals -3
4)   The NY Jets are 2-2, but somewhat of a mess, they have lost their best corner and receiver for the season and they have turned the ball over a little too much.  I think if you’re a Jets fan and things don’t turn around soon it might be time for a quarterback change, Tim Tebow anyone.   On Monday night they play the Houston Texans who might be the best team in the AFC.  The Jets are over matched in this one; I’ll take the Houston Texans (-9) over the NY Jets.   Houston Texans -9
5)    The NY Giants come off a narrow loss to the Eagles by a few yards, a offensive pass interference penalty set up a field goal by Lawrence Tynes that landed just short, the Cleveland Browns com in winless but with a developing rookie quarterback.  I’ll take the Giants (-9) over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon.   NY Giants -9
